Physical protection of transmission infrastructure

Implementation steps

  1. Install network cabling in secured conduits or behind locked panels to prevent physical interception or tampering
  2. Lock all telecommunications closets, patch panel enclosures, and distribution rooms with access restricted to authorized personnel
  3. Maintain an access log for telecommunications rooms and wiring closets
  4. Conduct periodic physical inspections of cabling and transmission infrastructure to detect tampering
