Implementation steps

  1. Develop an alternate work site policy identifying approved locations and security requirements for each
  2. Require VPN connectivity, full-disk encryption, and automatic screen lock for all devices used at alternate work sites
  3. Provide guidance on physical workspace security (private area, locked storage, no shoulder surfing exposure)
  4. Require signed acknowledgement of alternate work site security rules and conduct periodic compliance checks
