Implementation steps

  1. Encrypt media contents before any transport outside of controlled areas using approved cryptographic methods
  2. Package media in tamper-evident containers with security seals and document seal numbers
  3. Maintain a chain-of-custody log recording custodian, departure time, destination, arrival time, and recipient acknowledgement
  4. Use approved courier services or authorized personnel for transport; prohibit untracked shipment methods
